Spring forward your clock by 1 hour this weekend, which will begin this Saturday night.

And sorry, but you lose an hour sleep....but you get to sleep in on sunday, ....right?

No, you set your clocks back an hour, so you lose an hour.

The way I remember it, and this isn't original with me, as was taught in grade school, "Spring forward, fall back".

Google ought to know.

Yup, we're supposed to put our clocks one hour ahead.

Is it that time already? *sigh*

Modern DST was first proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson, a New Zealand entomologist. A Kiwi is the antichrist?

I don't like daylight savings time. It makes no sense at all. The days are already longer this time of year. If they want to set the clocks ahead for more daylight at the end of the day, they should do it in the winter.

But I actually have an easier time adjusting to the time change this time of year than in the fall. I can get up earlier, but I can't sleep later. I will wake up at the same time, no matter what time I go to bed. Then I will have to take naps at odd hours of the day, to avoid getting overtired and having an autoimmune attack.

You guys have it all wrong. You're back in the dark ages. With the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chili ... our times have been all wacked off. The Earth is off it's axis and so the amount of time we spring forward and fall back ... needs to be adjusted or this will cause GREAT difficulties down the road.

Please I plead ... be up with the times and be responsible with your time adjustments so as not to cause the earth's axis to fall off further.

I believe there is already a wabble in the spin on the axis.......The Earth's axial tilt varies between 22.1° and 24.5°

So, I am not sure what you mean by "fall off the axis"....

Do you think... that kiwis are making the earth fall off its axis?

Maybe really heavy kiwis? And are we talking about birds or fruit?

Maybe you've heard this before, but just in case not___

I believe it was the native American indians that said something like this,

" Only a white man would cut off the bottom of a blanket, sew it on the top and believe he had a longer blanket."

Back when I was a girl, Kiwifruit were known as Chinese Gooseberries.

They were popularised in NZ in the late 70's.....and the China connection
seems to be forgotten (I have no idea from where the plant originated).

Just some trivia :)

The kiwi fruit originated in China, and the kiwi name was originated by New Zealand marketers.

All of which is easier to deal with than Daylight Confusion Time. Move to Arizona. They don't mess with it.
