In order to dissolve all belief in God, I think you would need to take away the Bible. Then I would say that is really quite impossible, since the Bible is the basis of that which you oppose. If you take the Bible away don't you think there will still be people who have faith in God. Probably only a few.

I have been following this topic with interest from the beginning. I think it has pretty much run its course with nothing much new of substance being added over the past few pages. We are beginning to repeat the same ideas without advancing the discussion. (IMHO, endlessly repeating the same old idea is sort of like shouting louder to be understood by someone that doesn't speak your language...) And the conversation is beginning to devolve into petty and somewhat personal nit-picking. I appreciate the passion that this topic evokes, but I do not see arguments that generate more heat than light as helpful or consistent with the overall philosophy of the Original Thoughts forum.

So, I have decided to temporarily lock this topic to give folks a pause to think. If you do think of something new and would like to post some additional thoughts, send me a PM and I can reopen the topic.
