Hi folks,
Besides being a child of God (I cannot thank you enough, Lord) and a lfetime friend of pkrause, I am a retired teacher - 36 years in a public HS, teaching English (AP (Advanced Placement) classes and a Bible as Lit. elective) plus 10 years as a Dean.
I'm a member of the Morris Park SDA church in Bx., NYC, an elder, SS teacher, Religious Liberty director and Stewardship director. I also serve as the assistant to the head of the Religious Liberty Dept. of GNYC (Greater NY Conference)
Married with 2 adult children (Jason 35, Danielle 30) 5 cats, 1 guinea pig and 1 tarantula. Was a national Fellow (NEH = National Endowment for the Humanities) in'84 in medieval scholastic philosophy at Fordham University working closely with the largest Jesuit community in NYC.
Also a lifetime athlete, competing mainly in running events e.g. Boston and NYC Marathons et al.

Welcome to the forum Alex and the next time you mention "Bronx" please say "the Bronx". LOL My real home town is the only place in the US that sounds better with "the" in front of it.
