Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

An old friend had mentioned that to me several months ago. I forget where she found her answer but it is Be ye perfect in your corner of the world just as Jesus is in His.

We will never be perfect since only God/Jesus/Holy Spirit is that. We can only strive towards that goal.

It's kind of hard to know what 'joy' realy is, isn't it? Is Joy 'a state of being'? The result of pleasant circumstances? The result of 'trust' in God? Does it 'cover up' discouragement? Is it feeling pleased? Feeling blessed? Feeling cheerfull? Living in constant sunshine? Praising God no matter what? The result of saving the lost (as it was for Christ)? Or that God would slay the wicked and win over his enemies as it was for David? Or maybe glad to hate those that hated God - also as it was for David? Or rejoiceing in persecution as it was for Paul? Or being altogether obedient to God so that you can walk side by side with Him?

What should joy feel like when you are being tested by fire? What is it that causes (or should cause) us to rejoice? Or is it possible to have 'real' joy at all without God?

I really enjoyed reading the comments on the lesson this week. Thanks, everybody, for taking the time! rollingsmile

I think two and three go hand in hand. If you have God in your life you will have an inner peace to know things will work out the way they are suppose to. That is Joy for me.
