Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

There's another person, who while professing faith in Christ, has rejected all these teachings, accepting what we would deem as theological error. Yet, this person is kind forgiving, loving and nonjudgmental everything the "orthodox" SDA isn't. Though of course, we don't know hearts, if you had to guess which one is closer to the kingdom of God, whom would you choose and why? What does you answer imply about what you deem is important in Christianity?

Don't blame me for this question. Pastor Richard O'Ffill is the author. Blame him.
o'ffill said something to the effect that conservatives get real mean when their cherished beliefs are questioned. his forum. i was a member there til i got fed up watching it in action.

oh what a minute, isnt that what happens here, also? lol.

Yeah, I've seen/heard that line many times, somehow giving me the feeling that all doctrine-adhering people and SDAs in particular are mean, harsh, judgmental & unloving, while the non-doctrinal people are kind, forgiving, loving, and non-judgmental. "Everything the orthodox SDA isn't."

Just playing the devil's advocate, since inspecting fruit is not politically/theologically correct these days.
You're ok I'm ok is in.

I don't think it's possible to produce no fruit at all. Like it or not, our actions are producing "fruits" that others are learning by. I don't think the point of this lesson is necessarily the harvest, but the planting... a kind of "reap what you sow." In fact the quarterly even states that we're not focusing on how to be more like the "fruit" attributes, but that in loving God and doing His will, these fruits will naturally harvest.

Now you're talkin' Gerry. I can finally say that I agree with you praise God.

Yes. I think "you're ok I'm ok" I don't appreciate your theology ... but you are still okay. God loves all of humanity. He loves each of us so much that He died for us and would have died for even one sinner.

If more of us had this theology ... even this forum would be a much better and more pleasant place to be.

Praise God. The more we see it the better. And there must be something to it if it made it into our official Sabbath School Lesssons.

We need to pay heed. God is trying to speak to us.
