Can someone please explain to me how to upload a picture of myself to accompany my messages? I cannot understand those directions, it seems very user unfriendly Steve

Steve do you mean an avatar as at left?

Go into My Stuff in the second row of the menu bar...2 along from control panel - and go into edit preference from the option list.

Down at the bottom you will find instructions to upload a picture, just be sure it is not too big.

If you want to upload a picture for a particular message, click
on file manager before you upload your message.

If you are replying to a message, this will only work in Reply mode, not Quick Reply.

I found that I have to go to "edit profile" in order to be able to upload a picture to my avatar.

Like you say the image has to be very small; I think it can't be any bigger than 100 X 148 pixels.

John if you are interested in placing a larger image, how would you go about that?

As an avatar, I don't think it's possible to use an image larger than 140 x 148 pixels. That's evidently the limit set by the server that Stan's using. I don't know if Stan can modify that or not.

Try this:

Click on Reply

Click on File Manager

Click on "Choose File"

Select picture from a file on your computer
(Remember the picture can't be bigger than about 800 x 650 pixels and it must be jpg, etc If necessary, resize your images, then save them in correct size to a file.)

Click on "Choose"

Click on "Add File"

Click on "Done Adding files"

You will then need to write something on the post that you intend to post. For instance, identify picture, name photographer, etc.

Finally click on "Submit"

That should do it. Hope this helps.
