Woody Swiss n Swedish American Registered: 2006-12-09 Posts: 27073 Loc: A citizen of Heaven	What did you think of the Lesson Study this week? Personally I thought it had some trouble. Great topic. But the author did seem to struggle. I think he was trying to appease both sides of Adventism. However .... I did appreciate Tuesday's Lesson on Salvation especially this part: Quote: The means of salvation is Christ's blood (1 John 1:7; 5"6.8); that is His atoning sacrifice (1 John 2:2,4:10). The Cross is not mentioned in 1 John directly. However,, blood and atoning sacrifice point to the Cross. It is not the example of Jesus that saves us, as important as that is. It is His death. And yet, His example calls us to walk as He did (1 John 2:6) This clearly explains the Gospel. What think you? _________________________ May we be one so that the world may be won. You see since I don't get to go to sabbath School and discuss the lesson ... you guys are my only hope. Okay ... what did you think of Thursdays lesson about 'absolute truth' and relativism? I definately found myself on the opposite side from 'absolute truth' as defined. Relativism was defined as 'having to decide what is truth and what is error'. Yes the Bible is the absolute truth but we have to decide what is truth and what is error from the Bible. And each and every one of us come to a different conclusion. There IS an absolute Truth ... but we won't know what that is until we see His face and have eternity to study and understand it. I found this curious: The author states: "Truth is both what we intellectually grasp and what we practice". ???? Really? Can someone explain that to me? By eating His flesh and drinking His blood, Accepting His teachings, we become cleansed inside. I think this is a sanctuary cleansing process. Jesus made atoning sacrifice throughout His entire life. His entire life as God in the flesh was a sacrifice. And yes,the wages of sin is death. Our SS class does not study the lesson quarterly. But isn't there a statement in the Bible about truth.
